Tecsidel signs a MLFF project in Norway

Tecsidel and the toll companies Vegfinans AS (https://en.vegfinans.no/) and Ferde AS (https://ferde.no) signed a MLFF project at the beginning of July. The project will be carried out in Norway and consists of the provision, installation and maintenance of the road equipment of the following highways:

- E6 Kolomoen - Moelv: 6 charging points (Vegfinans AS)

- E18 Rugtvedt - Dørdal: 1 charging point (Vegfinans AS)

- E18 Tvedestrand - Arendal: 2 charging points (Ferde AS)

The free flow electronic toll system (MLFF) developed by Tecsidel, manages the toll automatically without the vehicle having to stop at the collection point, so that it does not affect the vehicle flow and reduces the CO2 footprint.

On this occasion, the MLFF solution will be configured in a single gantry configuration in which DSRC antennas for OBU readings and video cameras will be installed for the detection, enforcement and automatic recognition of license plates.

The contract includes the delivery, implementation, commissioning and maintenance of the collection equipment through SSA-T and SSA-V in the 3 locations. Both solutions will be installed on the highways with 1 and 2 lanes in both directions, whose speed limit will be 110 km / h.

The maintenance period will be 7 years with option to renew between 1 and 13 years.

Vegfinans is a regional toll road company that provides services in the east part of Norway. The parent company, Vegfinans AS, is owned by the seven counties Akershus, Buskerud, Hedmark, Oppland, Telemark, Vestfold and Østfold.

Ferde AS, based in the city of Bergen, is the regional toll road company for the municipalities of Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Rogaland, Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder County.

Tecsidel plans to finish the project at the beginning of 2020, according to the execution schedule.
